The West End may once have been regarded as the domain of students and arty bohemian types, but with the opening of several stylish and grown up venues this reputation has been well and truly shaken off. The Grosvenor restaurant is one such venue on the super trendy Ashton Lane. Split into a bright, open bar with the restaurant on a mezzanine level it’s managed to capture that elusive atmosphere that appeals to almost everyone: during the day it’s popular with families and people wanting to chill out and in the evening it becomes the bustling hub of West End nightlife with live music on Fridays and Saturdays from 9pm.
It’s also popular with patrons of the Grosvenor cinema below, now refurbished and given a new lease of life offering a more luxurious cinematic experience than your local multiplex. The menu is Italian, offering a good range of pastas and pizzas, as well as main dishes like wild boar sausages, monkfish and prawn casserole and polenta and aubergine stack.
